Guardian Weekend Feature

For those of you who have missed it, the Guardian covered my latest project in their weekend magazine on Saturday 8th February 2014.

You can find the online version here: http://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/gallery/2014/feb/07/interior-design-ideas-designers-home, if you have missed the printed copy.

So, what did you think of it? The printed version quoted "junk shop finds" and "thrift store classic", whilst the online version titled the piece "Scrubs up nicely". Well, the latter is something I can happily apply to myself, not just to my designs! Although I haven't quite reached the same age as my favourite pieces of furniture yet, I know that some things need a bit of care, attention and polish to bring their former glory back.

If you haven't got time to go hunting for unusual items for your home, why not take advantage of my sourcing service? Tell me, what you are looking for and I will put the hours in for you.

Here are some of my favourite pieces, I have gathered over the years. Some arrived lovely and shiny, some I had to bring back to life.

I am so thrilled having just checked out your work featuring on the Guardian website. If only I had found you a year earlier, now we are done with our works and broke. If only I had your talents (have always admired people's ability for doing up old furniture) and oh wow,my huge compliments!!!Have you got any tips where to go hunting? Where did you find your"Rosarum"cushion? Bravissima!!!

Thanks Alice. The Rosarum cushion is from www.laissezluciefaire.com. They have a great selection of bright quirky cushions and other accessories.
